Aplicación no oficial
No vendemos datos personales.

Unofficial app
¿Se fue la luz? is an independent, unofficial app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to LUMA Energy or any government agency. Outage data comes from publicly available sources and may be delayed or inaccurate.
What we collect
- Zone subscriptions & preferences: the municipalities/zones you follow and your alert settings. Stored to send you the alerts you asked for.
- Push token: a device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging so alerts can reach your phone. It contains no name or email.
- Community reports: if you tap a report button ("¡Se fue la luz!", "Servicio intermitente", "¡Ya volvió la luz!"), we store the report type, the place (municipality and sector), and the time. You can always report without granting location permission.
- Anonymous outage-history relay: to document how outages develop over time, the app periodically sends the public regional figures it has already loaded (customers without service per LUMA region) to our server, which keeps them as an anonymous regional history. The relay contains no identifiers, no location, and no personal data; the server stamps each entry with its own server time and ignores any time sent by the device.
- Location — only when you report: your location is requested only at the moment you tap a report button — never when the app starts and never in the background. It is used solely to attach the place (place name, municipality, sector) to that one report, after you confirm it on screen. The coordinates themselves are checked for plausibility on the server but are never stored and are never transmitted as part of the report. We keep no location history and build no movement profile. You can always report without location by choosing your municipality manually.
- Advertising: the app shows ads via Google AdMob. If you allow tracking (App Tracking Transparency), Google may use your advertising identifier to show personalized ads; if you decline, you will still see ads, but non-personalized/contextual ones. We never send advertising by push notification.
- No account, no sale of data: the app needs no registration. We do not sell personal data and do not collect names, emails, or contacts unless you write to us.
How data is used
Only to operate the alerts, confirm/refute outage reports, prevent abuse of the reporting function, and show ads. Reports can be flagged as false in the app; repeated false reports may be blocked.
Retention & deletion
Push tokens and subscriptions are deleted when you uninstall or turn off all alerts. Community reports are kept in aggregated, anonymous form for statistics. For deletion requests, write to sefuelaluzpr@gmail.com.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
